
Sensei Tim McCann has trained in the art of Kenpo Karate for over 12 years. After achieving the rank of Shodan (1st degree black) in June of 2000 under Shihan Paul Parent of Billerica, MA. Sensei McCann became the co-owner of Kensho-Ryu Kenpo Karate in Acton, MA. Sensei McCann was promoted to Nidan (2nd degree) in 2001, Sandan (3rd degree) in 2004, and Yondan (4th degree) in 2006, all under the teaching of Kyoshi Mark Sheeley. Sensei McCann has attended seminars taught by such leaders in the martial arts as Kyoshi Mark Sheeley, Shihan Mike Depasquale, Shihan Mike Burton, Sifu Bruce Corrigan, Hanshi Bruce Juchnik, and Soke Wali Islam. Sensei McCann began competing on the Krane tournament circuit in 2004 in the weapons and kata divisions. He finished the year with a 1st place state rating, and a 2nd place national rating in both divisions. In 2005 he continued his efforts, which resulted in a 1st place national rating in both weapons and kata. Sensei Mccann received a Hall of Fame Award as the Krane Ratings International Male Adult Senior Black Belt Competitor of the Year. In his final year of competition in 2006, he repeated this achievement and was the national champion for his division in both kata and weapons.
